What Is Evolution?

In short.. Everything made itself?

The theory of Evolution is a deduction from this assumption, that essentially everything things made itself.

The following unproven ideas are associated with this man made theory:
• Nothing gave rise to something at an alleged ‘big bang,’
• Non-living matter gave rise to life?
• Single-celled organisms gave rise to many-celled organisms?
• Invertebrates (worms or animals without a spine) gave rise to vertebrates (animals with backbones)? Basically a worm became a Polar Bear.
• Ape-like creatures gave rise to man?
• Non-intelligent and amoral matter gave rise to intelligence and morality?
• And lastly man’s yearnings for purpose gave rise to religions, etc.
These statements obviously violate the bible.

Psalm 14:1

“ The fool says in his heart there is no God”.
According to the bible, anyone who denies the existence of God is a fool. Foolishness does not mean a lack of intelligence, but the inability to properly apply knowledge.

Proverbs 1:7

“ The fear of the lord is the beginning of knowledge”
Atheists who support evolution frequently make fun of creation and/or intelligent design as unscientific and not worthy of scientific examination. In order for something to be considered a “science,” they argue, it must be “naturalistic.” Creation, by definition, is beyond the rules of the natural world. Since God cannot be tested! You cannot test a miracle! The creation of the world is one big miracle.
The bible says that people are without excuse for not believing in a creator.

Romans 1:20
Any attempt by science to remove God’s creative hand in designing the universe would be considered sin in the eyes of God. Specifically the sin of unbelief.

John 16:8-9
When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me

1.True disciples believe in the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth. However a dog is still a dog. It may be a bigger dog, or a poodle but it’s still a dog.
2.The gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form. Again.. a chicken may not be an eagle but they are both birds.

Scientist live by faith
It is necessary to reveal a little inside information about how scientists work, something the textbooks in London don’t usually tell you. The fact is that scientists are not really as objective and dispassionate in their work as they would like you to think. Most scientists first get their ideas about how the world works not through rigorously logical processes but through hunches and wild guesses. As individuals, they often come to believe something to be true long before they assemble the hard evidence that will convince somebody else that it is ( Almost all of Freud’s provocative theories were grossly false). Motivated by faith in his own ideas and a desire for acceptance by his peers, a scientist will labor for years knowing in his heart that his theory is incorrect but devising experiment after experiment whose results he hopes will support his position. On the other hand most branches of modern science were founded by believers in the creation account of the bible.

The list of creationist scientists is impressive.
Physics—Newton, Faraday, Maxwell, Kelvin
Chemistry—Boyle, Dalton, Ramsay
Biology—Ray, Linnaeus, Mendel, Pasteur, Virchow, Agassiz
Geology—Steno, Woodward, Brewster, Buckland, Cuvier
Astronomy—Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Herschel, Maunder
Mathematics—Pascal, Leibniz, Euler

What is Darwinism?

A theory of biological evolution developed by Charles Darwin and others, stating that all species of organisms arise and develop through the natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the individual’s ability to compete, survive, and reproduce. Also called Darwinian theory.

The theory of evolution (Darwin’s theory) teaches that all life started from a simple one-celled organism and then gradually evolved during millions of years into the complex forms of life that we see today. There are no fossils showing the evolutionary process of chimp to human. If one looks at the so called earliest hominids discovered, Ardi and Lucy, you will see that the fossils are incomplete. If scientist constructed the fossils they would simply look like chimps? If man did come from chimps, there would be more than two obscure fossils evolution is hedging their bets on. There would be thousands!

Point 1. The Bibles truth is timeless

The bible is true and man’s knowledge is just catching up with God’s knowledge. As we find more and more archaeological finds, we find proof of the truth already laid down in the Bible.
Is it fair to claim, “we believe it” because we find archaeological proof for it?

How the world was made is how it was always laid down in the in bible, our discovery about how it came about from DNA, fossils is just catching up with the bible.

A. The Big Bang.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
I believe in the Big Bang. God spoke, then “BANG” it happened. One may ask “what was before that”? God!

Science tells us that the universe was created. When the universe was created, dimensions were created, including time. The bible tells us that God exists outside the universe where no time exists and thus, God has always existed and always will.

Jude 1:25 Give praise to the only God. He is our Savior. Glory, majesty, power and authority belong to him. Give praise to him through Jesus Christ our Lord. Give praise to the One who was before all time, who now is, and who will be forever. Amen.

Titus 1:2 Faith and understanding rest on the hope of eternal life. Before time began, God promised to give that life. And he does not lie.

B. The Process of the universe and earth changing (not evolving).
Genesis 1:2-5 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

“The first day” was simply a time period, not 24 hours. God does not view a day like we do, also for a day to have been 24 hours there need to be a sun and moon which were not created until the 4th day.

2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
Genesis 1:6-25 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day. And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Day 1 – Light.
Day 2 – Separation of land and water, this led to the creation of salt water and fresh water to sustain life for drinking.
Day 3 – Vegetation, needed fresh water that was created in day 2 as seen in the pattern of evolution.
Day 4 – Seasons for growth of vegetation, germination, migration of animals so as to create the circle of life.
Day 5 – Animals of sea. the theory of evolution says that the sea animals are older than land animals so land animals must have come from sea animals. Yet this ignores the question of how did a cold blooded animal give birth to a warm blooded animal of which there is no proof or example. Here science contradicts what the Bible says with no proof, that the animals of the sea were created by God, then animals on land. The missing link in evolution that says man (a warm blooded animal) came in origin from cold blooded animals originally found in the sea.
Be fruitful and increase in number, God created some and then waited for them to increase in number, why, circle of life, to feed the land animals! Birds.
Day 6 – Land animals, God waited until populations grew, why? To provide a circle of life ready for the introduction of the whole point of creation, the arrival of man.

C. The arrival of man

Genesis 1:26-31 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

God created the animals of the sea first, then land animals in preparation for man, so the land could sustain man.
The flaws in Darwinism and the theory of evolution is that it presumes jumps in evolution that there is no proof for, and assumes that these must be the only explanation because there can be no alternative?

Warm blooded animals cannot come from cold blooded animals,  just because animals of the sea historically are older than animals on land that does not mean they came from them?

John 7:24  “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”
Therefore it is possible for jumps in apparent evolution to be made by God, such as man being simply created and not coming from monkeys.

Point 2. Man Did Not Evolve From Monkeys

A well-known American idiom is, “You’re making a monkey out of me!” It means to make someone look foolish. When it comes to the general belief of where humans come from, this idiom is, albeit flipped, standardly employed by evolutionist. They make men out of monkeys. And, although it’s a little cheeky to say so, the idiom’s original meaning is applicable to evolution.
Man is not simply an animal. Man is very different to primates.
A man has a soul.

Mathew 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”
Ask yourself the question, which monkey had the first soul, how and why?
We do not find animals being spiritual or having a need for worship like man.
Animals DO NOT HAVE SOULS.

Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?[a] NKJV
Man can kill animals (food, sacrifice etc), but not man because of this difference of image. (Genesis 1:26-27 “Let us make man in our image”.
Genesis 9:6 “Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed;
For in the image of God He made man”

Man, although made on the same day as land animals (Day 6 of the creation week), was made in the image of God and was made to have a relationship with God that none of the animals could ever have. God desires for man to walk with Him in close fellowship (compare Genesis 5:22-24; 6:9; 17:1), but the Bible nowhere speaks of any animal enjoying fellowship with its Creator. Man is not an animal and he has not evolved from any animals. The world struggles with controlling lustful desires. The worlds solution is to reduce mankind to an animal so as to avoid repentance or taking responsibility for uncontrolled lust, anger, etc.

The only time mankind is referred to an animal is when he is engrossed in sin.
Jude 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.

Bottom line there are significant differences between man and animal, mental, moral and spiritual differences.

A.

Man has self-consciousness, which means he is aware of his own existence.
Everyone has a conscience. Our conscience gives us an awareness of what is right
and what is wrong. The Bible also says that God has revealed Himself to each
person through his or her conscience. Paul wrote.

Romans 2:14-15
“(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)”

These verses show that the Lord has placed knowledge of Himself within the heart of each human being. Humanity knows intuitively the difference between good and evil, right and wrong. Furthermore, they know from their conscience that they will ultimately be held responsible for their behaviour.
The evolutionist Fred Kohler said, “One of the most remarkable achievements of the human mind is its ability to be conscious of itself and its functioning”.
Man is aware of himself. Animals do not have a keen sense of self-consciousness. They do not ponder the basic meaning of life as reflected in these questions: Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?

B.

Man is unique in the sophisticated way he communicates with language (using verbal language and written symbols that communicate meaning).
Animals can make different noises and sounds, but they do not use language in the way humans do! Every animal, in a very real sense, is dumb.
Psalm 32:9 Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you
Only men have been given minds that are capable of complex, verbal language communication. Only men can read and write. You can put an ape in the best library in all the world, and he would not be interested at all! You could put a monkey in front of an exciting television program, and it would not normally hold his interest. At the same time we recognize that the Creator has marvelously equipped animals to communicate, as needed, between themselves. Crows, for example, have a complex system of communication. They use the sound “caw”. Animals have unique mating calls. Honeybees actually perform an amazing dance to communicate to other bees the proper direction and distance to go to collect nectar. We are learning more and more about how certain animals communicate such as dolphins, whales, gorillas, etc. The Creator fearfully and wonderfully makes even animals, but their ability to communicate does not rival the ability of man, especially when it comes to the use of language.

C.

Man can experience complex emotions such as sadness, weeping, grief, anger, compassion, joy and laughter, etc. in a way that animals cannot.

D.

Only man is free to make real choices.
“Only man is sufficiently free from the bondage of instinct to exercise real choices and to have significant purposes and goals in life” (John Whitcomb).
Animals are bound by their instinct pattern. They do whatever comes instinctively. In the Bible when God gave commands to animals and the fully obeyed, see Numbers 22:22-28; 1 Samuel 6:7-12; Jonah 1:17; 2:10; Luke 5:4-7; etc.)?
When God gives commands to men, do men always obey Him? No!
Men can choose to disobey God! Animals have no choice. They always obey their Creator!

E.

Men have an appreciation for music and art and beauty.
An animal could never paint a picture or write a song, and the animal would never be able to appreciate such things. Could you imagine a gorilla gazing at a sunset in appreciation, or a chimp listening in wonderment to the “Hallelujah Chorus”?

F.

Men are the only creatures that are able to make use of history and accumulate knowledge for the generations that will follow.
Animals are not able to pass on any information to the next generation. Each monkey must learn about the world just as his parents had to learn. Men can pick up a book and learn from brilliant men of the past and can benefit from their past wisdom and discoveries. Men can build upon the knowledge of past generations. Animals cannot.

G.

Only men are able to have an influence past the grave.
Abel still speaks to us today, as we remember his example of faith.
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
Men who lived thousands of years ago still influence us, as we remember their accomplishments and as we seek to avoid their failings and imitate their virtues. Moses lived 3500 years ago and today most people know about Moses and many recognize him as a great and godly man. Can you think of any animal that lived on earth 500 years ago or earlier that is remembered and recognized and still has an influence today?

H.

Only man can be educated.
Animals cannot be truly educated, they can only be trained. You will not find animals in schools (except for fish!).

I.

Only men are able to train and tame other animals (see James 3:7).
Have you ever heard of an ape training a lion? Only people have pets! Have you ever heard of a zoo operated by a zebra? Only people operate zoos!

J.

Only men can creatively build and invent.
Robins can build nests, but only because they have been instinctively programmed to do so. Robins always build the same kind of nests. They never return on the following year to build newer and better models. Beavers can make dams but beaver dams always look the same. Their dams follow the same basic pattern because the Creator programmed them to build dams in this way. On the contrary, man’s building and inventing capacity is unbelievable. Consider the pyramids in Egypt or Solomon’s temple described in the Bible or the amazing feat of putting a man on the moon.

K.

Only men wear clothes.
Man is the only creature that looks inappropriate unclothed. All animals look silly with clothes! (Penguins do not really wear tuxedos lol).

L.

Only men plant and harvest and cook their own food.
Have you ever seen an animal that was a farmer?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them Matthew 6:26

M.

Only man has a sense of humor.
Have you ever heard a gorilla tell a joke?

N.

Only men can use complex tools.
Beavers can cut down trees, but you will never find one with a axe. Badgers can tunnel into the ground, but you will never see one with a shovel.

O.

Only men can travel like all the animals.
They can go along the ground faster than a cheetah (car), they can fly through the air faster than an eagle (plane), they can reach the depths of the ocean better than fish (submarines), and they can do what no animals can do–go into outer space!

P.

Only people can sin against God.
There is no such thing as a righteous dog. He may be an obedient and welltrained dog, but he is not a righteous dog. There is no such thing as a sinful dog (though obviously some animals can be very fierce and dangerous—see Exodus 21:28). No animal has ever disobeyed God. Only men fully know the difference between right and wrong. If a dog eats something that he should not eat, or if a dog messes on the living room rug, he does not feel guilty about it (although he may have been trained to fear punishment). “Only man can discern moral right and wrong and suffer the agonies of an offended conscience” (John Whitcomb).

Q.

Only man can worship God.
No animal has ever been found worshiping God or building an idol or a temple, but the most primitive men will always worship in some form or another. No animal has ever said, “Thank you, Lord!” No animal has ever prayed or offered sacrifices. Only man can truly love His Creator. “Only man can recognize the divine authority of his Creator and honor Him through worship, praise, prayer, sacrifice, and obedient service” (John Whitcomb).

R.

Only man has existence beyond the grave.
There is no heaven for dogs and cats. There is no mention of animals in the eternal state (see Revelation 21-22). Only man is immortal (his soul lives on, either in heaven or hell, forever).

S.

Only man was created in the image of God.
Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
In order that man might reflect his Creator.

T.

Only man can enjoy the blessings and benefits of the incarnation.
When God came to this earth, He became a man (John 1:14), not an animal. Only men need to be saved. Christ came into the world to save sinful men, not animals (l Timothy.1:15). Christ died on the cross for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3), not for the sins of animals.

Point 3. Why were animals created?

The Bible gives many reasons, among the following:

A.

For limited but inadequate companionship (see Genesis 2:18-22 and see 2 Samuel 12:3).
A dog may provide enjoyment and may walk at a man’s side, but the dog was never intended to be “man’s best friend.” God intended a much better helper for man in woman (Genesis 2:20-22). Indeed, man’s greatest and best Companion is the Lord Himself.

B.

For food.
Genesis 9:2-3 The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

C.

For clothing.
Matthew 3:4 “John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.”

D.

For transportation (Genesis 22:3)

E.

For sacrifice.
In order to point to the one great sacrifice of His son Jesus and to illustrate that salvation is only possible by way of the shedding of blood (Gen. 4:4; Lev.1:3)

F.

For judgment of sinful men.
As used in proving a point to Pharaoh in Exodus chapter 8 and 2 Kings 2:23-24 toward boys who held God’s prophet Elisha in contempt.

G.

To serve man in a multitude of ways.
Genesis 8:8 Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.
There are some amazing uses of animals today, such as “seeing eye dogs” for the blind.

H.

To teach men spiritual lessons
Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!

I.

To teach men of God’s care. (Matthew 6:26)
Matthew 6:26 look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

J.

To carry out orders from their Creator.
1 Kings 17:6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

K.

To illustrate that “the Hand that made us is Divine”.
Every creature demonstrates that it was remarkably designed by the Creator and could never have evolved by chance. Every animal made by God is indisputable proof against the theory of evolution.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Conclusion
Title: Evolution-Man-vs-Animal.
Point 1. The Bibles truth is timeless – It has always been there, just not as some scientists through the years would have you believe it
Point 2. Man Did Not Evolve From Monkeys – Man is very different to other animals, he was created to have a relationship with God
Point 3. Why were animals created? – Many reasons, all of which center around man. Not least of all to teach man there is a God and we will all have to give an account of our life to Him.

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
